Midwife Doesn't Take Insurance
Patients Filing Claims for Midwife Services

Midwives Advantage Offers Claim Assistance for Parents!

For the last ten years, Midwives Advantage has worked exclusively with midwives across the country; however, some midwives prefer their clients to pay for services and file their insurance claims themselves. Parents across the country have contacted us because they need help. This process will change over time as we find the most efficient ways to work together. For now, we want you to know the following:
  • If your insurance has out-of-network benefits and maternity coverage, we've got this!
  • We can verify your insurance coverage before your baby is born. Claims are filed following delivery.
  • Please make sure your insurance company has your current mailing address. We need your current address too. If you move after sending us your insurance information, please contact us with the correct address.
  • If your insurance policy changes at any time, please complete the patient insurance information again. It is common for insurance policies to change at the beginning of a new year, but they can change at any time. We need accurate information to get claims to the correct place.
  • Claims are billed using corporate names, not the personal name of your provider.
  • We like to get paid for our work, and we get our commission after a claim pays. When you receive a check from your insurance company for claims that we file, please contact us promptly. We will walk you through a few easy steps, so we all get paid.
  • If you receive a check from your insurance company and don't contact us, we will void the claim, and the insurance will demand repayment of the total amount paid from you.
  • If you have any questions, email is the best way to contact us.

Before Your Baby is Born

If you want our assistance filing claims and your baby hasn't been born, complete Patient Information Before Birth.
Our staff will verify your benefits and contact you by phone or email. Please allow a few days for us to process your insurance information.

After Your Baby is Born

"Do you feel like your insurance company has played you? We hear from parents all the time that they have spent months trying to get their insurance to pay their birth claims. These parents are frustrated and angry that instead of basking in the bliss of newborn love, they spend hours on the phone getting excuse after excuse about their claims. We've heard it all!
  • "We didn't receive the claim."
  • "The codes are wrong."
  • "We need more information from the provider."
  • "Your claim is pending." (and pending never ends!)
Are you tired of excuses? If you are ready for action and you have a PPO plan and maternity coverage, whether you have already filed a claim or not, complete: Patient Insurance Information and Claim Form.
*Offer limited to patients with out-of-network AND maternity coverage.

What Parents Are Saying

"I worked for eleven months to get my homebirth claim paid and got nowhere! I called and called. I sent the insurance company all the documents they asked for and still nothing happened. My midwife told me about Midwives Advantage. They submitted my claims and had the payment in three weeks! They charged me a percentage of the insurance payment and were worth every dollar!" Mom, WA

"When my midwife told me about Midwives Advantage Patient Assistance Program, I was so happy. I got nothing but lies from my insurance company! Midwives Advantage was worth the percentage they charged! When I filed my own claim, I got 100% of ZERO dollars! Results are worth paying for!" Mom, TN

"I thought I could submit the superbill and my insurance would send me a check. HAHA! I was so naive! After working with Midwives Advantage, it became clear to me that it takes experts that know the industry. I couldn't be happier!" Dad, TX

"I was very happy to see the results Midwives Advantage produced. Once they reviewed my records, they submitted charges for all the billable services my wife received at the Birth Center. Our birth center didn't take insurance and having a birth there was very important to my wife. I put the fees on a credit card so she could have the birth she wanted. I worked for six months to get my claims paid and didn't get anywhere. Midwives Advantage was able to get my wife's claim paid in a month." Dad to birth center twins, TX
